Spiritual Revelations for Humans Seeking Humanity in Humans ~CordieB.

Spritual Riddle…I am the Greatest Spirit of All!

~Love Tames.  CordieB.

~Love Tames. CordieB.

I am kind and patient; not boastful or proud…

I am all knowing, yet humble; not boisterous or loud

I am secure in my stead; not untrusting or jealous

I keep no scores of bad deeds;  I’m forgiving….unrebellious

I am thankful for mine; of your’s I’m not envious

I don’t hold resentment to ferment my soul…

In-line with my spirit, it is compassion I hold!

I’m not judgmental; I allow others to be…

That which they are; so their souls might be free

Knowing we all are created from the same mighty force

Good, bad or indifferent; of the same Holy source!

I rejoice in the truth; refrain from deception…

Persevere with great hope, amid pain or rejection.

Not easily angered, remaining kind and protective…

Willing to look closely at life from another’s perspective.

I am the foundation of all Creation thereof…

I’m the most powerful, unfailing, Spirit of all

…I Am the Spirit of Love…

~Written by CordieB, Inspired by 1st Corinthian’s 13 and of course….. Love.

Quote for the Day:  When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child; I reasoned like a child. As I grew, I put childish ways behind me. Then I saw but a poor reflection, as in a mirror. Now I see face to face. Then, I knew only in part. Now I know fully and I am fully known.

And now these three remain…

Faith

Hope

Love

But the greatest of these is…

LOVE

~1 Corinthians 13, The Bible

Another Quote:  Knowing is realizing we don’t know it all ~CordieB.

A Rock, A River, A Tree by Maya Angelou

A Rock, A River, A Tree
Hosts to species long since departed,
Marked the mastodon.The dinosaur, who left dry tokens
Of their sojourn here
On our planet floor,
Any broad alarm of their hastening doom
Is lost in the gloom of dust and ages.

But today, the Rock cries out to us, clearly, forcefully,
Come, you may stand upon my
Back and face your distant destiny,
But seek no haven in my shadow.

I will give you no more hiding place down here.

You, created only a little lower than
The angels, have crouched too long in
The bruising darkness,
Have lain too long
Face down in ignorance.

Your mouths spilling words
Armed for slaughter.

The Rock cries out today, you may stand on me,
But do not hide your face.

Across the wall of the world,
A River sings a beautiful song,
Come rest here by my side.

Each of you a bordered country,
Delicate and strangely made proud,
Yet thrusting perpetually under siege.

Your armed struggles for profit
Have left collars of waste upon
My shore, currents of debris upon my breast.

Yet, today I call you to my riverside,
If you will study war no more. Come,

Clad in peace and I will sing the songs
The Creator gave to me when I and the
Tree and the stone were one.

Before cynicism was a bloody sear across your
Brow and when you yet knew you still
Knew nothing.

The River sings and sings on.

There is a true yearning to respond to
The singing River and the wise Rock.

So say the Asian, the Hispanic, the Jew
The African and Native American, the Sioux,
The Catholic, the Muslim, the French, the Greek
The Irish, the Rabbi, the Priest, the Sheikh,
The Gay, the Straight, the Preacher,
The privileged, the homeless, the Teacher.
They hear. They all hear
The speaking of the Tree.

Today, the first and last of every Tree
Speaks to humankind. Come to me, here beside the River.

Plant yourself beside me, here beside the River.

Each of you, descendant of some passed
On traveller, has been paid for.

You, who gave me my first name, you
Pawnee, Apache and Seneca, you
Cherokee Nation, who rested with me, then
Forced on bloody feet, left me to the employment of
Other seekers–desperate for gain,
Starving for gold.

You, the Turk, the Swede, the German, the Scot …
You the Ashanti, the Yoruba, the Kru, bought
Sold, stolen, arriving on a nightmare
Praying for a dream.

Here, root yourselves beside me.

I am the Tree planted by the River,
Which will not be moved.

I, the Rock, I the River, I the Tree
I am yours–your Passages have been paid.

Lift up your faces, you have a piercing need
For this bright morning dawning for you.

History, despite its wrenching pain,
Cannot be unlived, and if faced
With courage, need not be lived again.

Lift up your eyes upon
The day breaking for you.

Give birth again
To the dream.

Women, children, men,
Take it into the palms of your hands.

Mold it into the shape of your most
Private need. Sculpt it into
The image of your most public self.
Lift up your hearts
Each new hour holds new chances
For new beginnings.

Do not be wedded forever
To fear, yoked eternally
To brutishness.

The horizon leans forward,
Offering you space to place new steps of change.
Here, on the pulse of this fine day
You may have the courage
To look up and out upon me, the
Rock, the River, the Tree, your country.

No less to Midas than the mendicant.

No less to you now than the mastodon then.

Here on the pulse of this new day
You may have the grace to look up and out
And into your sister’s eyes, into
Your brother’s face, your country
And say simply
Very simply
With hope
Good morning.

Possibilities Are On the Horizon - CordieB

There are vast possibilities on the horizon; It’s up to us to manifest those possibilities into realities!

The Woman and Her Mansions ~CordieB.

She lived in a house of…

Many Mansions

Countless Doors

Infinite Windows and

Endless Floors
~~~
Yet she confined herself to…
One small house
One small room
Her comfort zone…
Filled with unfulfilling gloom
~~~

Many windows of…

Opportunity came her way

Opened doors –

Yet here she stayed…

Afraid to leave

Her cramped comfort zone

Yet inside, she’d often

bitch moan and groan
~~~
Over time she…
Over-decorated her little room
With too much brick-a-brat
Familiar clutter…
A little of this, A lot of that
Obstructing her windows
Covering her floors…
Obscuring her vision
Blocking her doors…
Taking her breath!!
Out of control!!
Killing her softly…
Draining her soul…
~~~

Until one day she was brave enough to…

Release the shutters!

Open the doors!

Roll out the carpet!

Explore other floors!

Bask in the sunshine!

Laugh in the rain!

Experience the world

Through both joy and pain!
~~~
She began exploring her many mansions and…
Seek new adventures!
Become experimental!
Redecorating her once limited mind…
With knowledge and boundless potential!
I Breathe Fresh Air To Feed My Soul – A Spiritual Riddle
Current Mood:Happy emoticon Happy & Playful emoticon Playful
Like dancing leaves of billowed trees…
I delight in the ride of a gentle breeze
I am tickled in my bare existence..
No need to push, pull or bear down in resistance
I breathe fresh air to feed my soul..
And exhale desires to hold control
I dare not stir the pot of mass confusion
That so often arises from exclusion
As refreshing as morning’s dew,
I float like clouds on plains of blue
Ingrained in love, instilled in all of you
No need to cause disharmony…
To choose a side or disagree
So magical, like alchemy…
I calm the qualms of humanity
Bringing forth new insight, bright and clear…
That life is precious, love is dear…
No need to fight, no need to fear!
Let go, Exhale, Release, Release!
Sieze me, and life’s chaos will simply cease
Thankful Thursday – I Am the Sin of Grave Covetousness (A Spiritual Riddle)
greed
This is an update from a post I wrote last year – I’ve added and deleted some of my thanks givings from last year…  As you can see, I’ve been blessed throughout the year.  Also, I present to you a  riddle to help exercise the thankful brain.
1. Today I am thankful that my pain is subsiding. pain is gone!
2. Today I am thankful that I have a good man who deals with my pain with me in a supporting, loving manner.
3. Today I am thankful that my children are doing well.
4. Today I am thankful for the warmth of the summer.
5. Today I am thankful that my fever is subsiding I can’t even remember the fever I spoke of last year.
6.  Today I am thankful for another year to live and love and that nothing is constant but change :)   (Added today, July 15th, 2010)
What were you thankful for last year this time?  What are you thankful for Today?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spiritual Riddle

I am the sin of grave covetousness

Bound to mine own self righteousness

Neglecting inner consciousness…

for all my mind craves to possess

I’m the root of imbalance in the land

As visioned pleasures I expand

Amid the poor and weakened man

To whom I dare not lend a hand…

Convincing self in false delight

that I deserve all in my plight…

What I consume is mine own right…

as daytime surely follows night…

The sad thing is I’m never filled,

as nothing ever quite fulfills

the hollow heart that slowly kills

my soul by short lived external thrills…

Hoarding more than I need

can’t quench the thirst of internal needs

with a starving soul and a heart that bleeds…

and decayed root bearing no fruit nor seed…

because one foolishly concedes

to me, (Who Am I – Click Below for Riddle Answer)

On Love, I Heard Them Say…

"When mystics use the word love, they use it very carefully — in the deeply spiritual sense, where to love is to know; to love is to act. If you really love, from the depths of your Consciousness, that love gives you a native wisdom. You perceive the needs of others intuitively and clearly, with detachment from any personal desires; and you know how to act creatively to meet those needs, dexterously surmounting any obstacle that comes in the way. Such is the immense, driving power of love."

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Current Mood:Playful emoticon Playful

Rainbow ~Courtesy of Just.Luc

With a ray of hope

And a glass half full…

And a mindset of

All is possible…

She cast her dreams

To the land of potential…

Awaiting with patience…

The inconsequential.

With dire belief…

Without brawn or tear

Only pure optimism

That her ship was near.

But that dream ship sail

Never came in view

Yet she always knew

Luck was overdue….

As the days passed on

And the years flew by…

Looking  back on life

She asked a simple why…

And the dream she’d cast

Replied over the rainbow

Though you watered the pot

Not a seed did you sow. . .

~Written by CordieB

Thought for the Day…Especially for all perpetual dreamers…

Remember to plant your seeds before you water your pots

And,

Even if your big dream is to hit the lotto, you’ve got to play to win…baby!

Peace, Light and Love,

Perfection in Chaos

I hear the shots, bang, bang, bang!!!

I hear the cries of despair

I taste the salty tears falling from my eyes,

Instinctively knowing…

Another mother ‘s son has fallen today

Such a rainy, gloomy day…

Through my teary, blurred vision

I see the orchards in bloom;

Such vibrant colors,

So mystically beautiful

So miraculously peaceful

I suck a sweet honeysuckle,

arousing my senses…

mouthwatering, leaving me wanting more…

such sensuous fragrance…

Tempting me to lie down in the grass

Until late afternoon

To bathe in the warm rain,

and listen to its  rhythm so perfectly peaceful;,

no man can compose the rain symphony

And in this bounty of priceless love gifts,

Among the anquish of senseless violence and destruction..

Stands a single red velvet rose. . .

Creation among Destruction…

I look up to see an expectant mother

Hurriedly being pushed into an ambulance

Instinctively, I know she will soon hold

The joy of her life…

And I wonder…

How can we deny unconditional love

When even in the mist of chaos…

Perfection evolves, and Love endures?

The Weeping Willow Tree and Me

Weeping Willow ~Courtesy of Sheep Purple

The Weeping Willow sings a somber song
Of distant seasons long past gone
Of present moments seeming far too long…
Of lovers gazing into each other’s eyes
Perhaps returning with sad goodbyes
Of mothers wishing upon far away stars
For safe return of sons and daughters in wars
Of fathers praying please send him home
Alive and well; safe from harm.

As I sat beneath the old willow tree,
I watch the children play freely
A priceless price was paid to watch them run
And jump, and skip beneath the sun
I know a war is over there…
But in my world war is everywhere
The war of boys who think they’re men
Killing neighbors’ sons; even their own kin
Senseless violence with no meaning…
Communities too afraid or complacent to intervene

Teens toting guns like boys with toys
No one’s brave or angry enough to make some noise
For every young man killed in Iraq
Might be two or three fallen around my block
Not for the freedoms we believe we know
But it’s the same old story; just a different show
Ego tricked minds taking what they feel is there’s
In Love and War, they say all is fair…
Youth brainwashed to take what’s not
The bigger the weapon, the bigger the lot

Gently, old Weeping Willow sways to and fro
Shedding dew drop tears for us below…
So here I sit under old Weeping Willow Tree
As she weeps good will for humanity
Lovingly we send a prayer with the passing wind…
God bring our children safely back home again….
And, if it’s not too much and in your plan
Please instill more love into the hearts of man

Balance at the Park in June

Balance -CordieB

Balance -CordieB

Late evening contemplation in the park

sipping wine till light turns dark

picking minds and hearts apart

gazing at the wonderment of Sun’s retreat

as Moon assumes command; taking seat…

Sending Troup de Breezes; defeating stagnant heat

Mindless peeping as lovers fuss or swoon…

to birdie’s perfect God-sent tune…
