Let me be patient
Let me be kind
Make me unselfish
without being blind
though i may suffer
I’ll envith not
and endure what comes
cause He’s all that i got
and tell him
tell him i need
tell him i love him and it’ll be all right
tell him i need him
tell him i love him
it’ll be alright
now i may have faith to make mountains fall
But if i lack love then i have nothing at all
i can give away everything i possess
but left without i love then i have no happiness
i know i’m imperfect, and not without sin
but now that i’m older all childish things end.
i’ll never be jealous and i won’t be too proud
cause love is not boastful …oh and love is not loud
tell him need him
tell him i love him
everything is gonna be alright
Now i may have wisdom and knowledge on earth
but if i speak wrong then what is it worth
see what we now know is nothing compared
to love we were shown when our lives were spared
and tell him
tell him i need
tell him i love him and it’ll be all right
tell him i need him
tell him i love him
it’ll be alright
and tell him
tell him i need him
tell him i love him

Matthew, through loving someone you bring them into your heart and incorporate them into your being. It is then hard to be parted from the object of your love because you can’t imagine your self, your heart without them.
In that sense you ‘need’ them; to maintain who and what you are in the moment and present.
You can love someone after they have left you and wish the best for them – however, people are not often able to love people they have never met. If we did, if we could, would be be killing others in Iraq. Would terrorists be killing us?
Very few people, like the Dalai Lama, have that capacity.
Excellent insight persistentillusion. The world would certainly be a better place if we all strived for agape love towards all. I do know that there are a lot of us out there who do strive for this, but with that, we still must also love those who cause massive hurt and destructin to others.
But eros love can certainly make life feel good, as well as bad. I wouldn’t take away my ability to love in the eros; even when it hurts.
