@Glen. It’s ok to be dinasaurs, we just can’t allow ourselves to become extinct. Here’s a quick lesson from from the blog dictionary -from one dinasaur to another .. . .

Definition: Most blogs use a two or three-column layout. Typically, the widest column is the main column where the blog posts are displayed. The smaller columns to the left and/or right of the posts column are called sidebars and include a variety of links and information of the blogger’s choice.

Vodpod is a Web site to simply collect, share, and watch videos. Vodpod is a good way to collect videos from around the Web – to show your friends, to put on your blog. Vodpod is also a great way to find videos. You can follow what your friends add to their pods, or pod and other people you like, tracking what videos they add or watch or comment on. Vodpod incorporates most video sharing sites, including Youtube. So, if it’s on youtube, Vodpod will bring it up too. Vodpod is also very WordPress friendly. You can simply click on a video to add it to your blog or side bar.

Vodpost, widget?

At the risk of sounding completely ignorant, what do those terms mean? And what is your sidebar? The only sidebars I’ve ever dealt with are journalistic (a highlighted element from an important story — usually on a newspaper’s front page — that is located on story’s side in a box).

Yeah, I know: newspapers are just about as defunct as albums. I just happen to be old school, but I’m generally willing to flow with the times. That makes me obsolete among most people my own age. (Screw ‘em if they can’t take a joke — right?)

Thanks Glenn. I’ve got a new vodpost widget on my side bar – the one with the flickr art – below special interests. Look for India Arie Songs there. All of her albums (old school term, ha ha) are great. The names of the CDs should be on the songs. However, I’ll send them to you – most likely tomorrow. I really like Nora Jones too. She’s on my newly found vodpod – I’m like a kid with a new toy about my new widget and video pod! I’ve been playing with it all day! You should check it out and create your own!
