This poem was written for Poefusion , Monday Mural ; whereas the author asks what words and thoughts are provoked by the image. Here are my thoughts . . .
The Stranger
Or is our fear just another prejustice
Taught to us from childhood on?
Does the stranger pose danger?
Or is our fear just another assumption; injustice
for which we so easily pass on?
What are the statistics of the stranger
Who lurks into our minds; our nightmares, our fears?
. . .who causes our hearts to race; our eyes to scan. . .
Does the stranger pose danger?
Is he a rapist, a pedifile, a robber, a murderer?
Or is the stranger simply just a man without a plan?

Discrimination in a nutshell, beautifully written hun, wows!
Your poem touches base with me, for sure. I learned what my stranger’s name was later and a partial reason for why he attacked me. Sometimes looking over your shoulder at the sea of strangers before you isn’t a bad idea. Well done. Have a nice day.
Unfortunately I could not see the photo… But I can imagine it through your words… you speak of this stranger… I believe we pose danger to our selves… we are the judge … that is the stranger… Beautifully written
