I am the root cause of all creation
In me lies the buildings blocks of all nations . . .
I am the catalyst of all recipes
My vision essentially creates realities
I am the beginning of all success
With my presense there is wonderness!
I am the heart and soul of dreams come true
Finesse me with love and integrity; In turn, I’ll honor you
I brighten the palate of ordinary to magnificence
I give the dullness of life a beautiful majestic essense
Embrace me if you dare; I’ll surely embrace you in return
Perhaps you don’t need me! But without me there’s no yearn
To move beyond the lustreness of life’s everyday mozaic
To make life a little easier or interesting; improve upon the static
I’ll take you to the country or the city, but perhaps you prefer
To travel to the moon or the stars; if you’re a wonderer . . .
Put me into action with desire, love and integrity
With boldness, strength and belief – add some creativity!
Hold me tight; nurture my spirit, and I will come to be
Without me there would be no rockets, buildings, ships, planes, or stairs
No phones, computers, music, art, cars or other wares
I’m imbedded in your humanist, I’m etched in every prayer
But so often you disregard me like a passing love affair . . .
Imagine life without me, an impossible task
You can’t do this without me, “oh why?” you might ask
For in your attempt of the challenge – I’ll be there at your feet
And the circle can’t be broken; this battle always ends in defeat!
Who am I? . . .Aha, did you forget me? – but you know me oh so well
We were best friends as children–remember playing show and tell!
We played so beautifully together, we escaped all limitation!
I am the core of all creation, I am the Spirit of Imagination!
~By CordieB.
What a beautiful Creation the Creator Imagined! Wow! And the Creator passed on the blessing of imagination to humans. We must not forget to embrace our gift of imagination! And . . . we must encourage imagination in the youth . . . while they are young enough to be a creative, innovative force! Peace,
Light and Love, CordieB.

Hi Cordie-
Great post filled with promise and easily attainable magic. I have a vivid imagination, so does my husband – we easily create fun and imagined play and it is so freeing. I, at times feel limited because as much as I imagine myself to be free of this illness my imagination does not take it away – for a time I pretend I am ice skating, running fast, able to climb a tree and a mountain – I remember these things so I go to what was and forget it no longer is and for me in those moments – my imagination saves me.
You are a skilled writer and an inspirational thought provoker.
Love Gail
your sister in faith

High Gail! Yes, our imagination serves us well, in so many instances. Thanks so much for your kindness.
Excellent writing! Imagination, without it we would still be living in caves.
Mark, so true. Your comment provoked this thought… I imagine the cavepeople had vivid imaginations! Look at the writings on the caves. For early man, many things and many experiences were new. Can you imagine all that newness – like eating ice cream for the very first time..I wonder how they described it to there cave family, or discovering the vast ocean – imagine the wonderment.. We have experienced so very much that it is refreshing when every now and then we experience something completely new to our senses, something perhaps beyond or imagination!
I thought it was God until the very end. But of course He is the root of all. Yet, a second read of this proved a delightful child like romp, since I knew the deeper meaning.
And how fitting this ties in perfectly with my quote of the day on art by Twyla Tharp.
And one last note on art, I just noticed your giraffe of many colors background — really fab!

High Jannie. I imagine God has a super imagination! Can you imagine!
Thanks for the refreshing comment. I’m off to check out that quote!
I thought it is our heart. Very strong write and it made me really proud of human brain.
Hello Neilina. Thanks for the comment. Do you suppose other animals have imaginations? Peace , Light and Love, C.
Hi {{cordieb!}}
Ever pondered why we choose to imagine a “God” who is limited when it comes to loving, understanding and embracing?
Ever imagined what a difference it would make to choose a “God” that’s not?
Actually, Sue Ann, I’ve always thought of God as being ultimately loving….It’s a pitty some people are so God fearing; it’s what causes so much hatred in this world. People who imagine God as unloving, usually imagine people as unloving too. How we perceive God is how we often perceive ourselves. Peace, Light and Love, C.
Yes, cordieb…
Yet when Sorrow comes we seem to forget that don’t we?
Yes we do..it is human nature. .but as we grow in love (spirit), we will forget it less. BTW, I revisited an answer that you gave me some time ago on my friend who is dying. She is now in hospice (at home) and because I’m here with her most of the time, her journey has really been a learning experience for me. She seems to be at peace and there is a calm awaiting in her being. I recall yourcwise words and just want to again say, “thank you.”
I found understanding that Sorrow carves the depth of my Joy helped me considerably.
Your friend is Blessed with {{{you}}} in your life. It is my Service and Joy to have assisted. Thank You for the privilege.
Hey Cordie,

Beutiful. Truly inspiring. Clearly you have not forgotten or failed to embrace the gift of imagination. And what you say about children rings true.

Thanks for visiting msterymistery! I enjoy your thought provocative site often; it inspires my imagination too! I’m glad knowing that you are. Peace, Light and Love, C.
What I like about this is the complete absence of any judgement. Instead, the poem honours diversity, without imposing any pre-conceived values.

What is here it is a great article. But first of all I must say all the visitors. Hello there. And now I must say that I have post http://cordiebw.com/2010/01/20/spiritual-riddle-i-am-the-root-cause-of-all-creation/ on my Digg profile.
