“All things foul and ugly,
all creatures short and squat.
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
the Lord God made the lot.”
-Monty Python.
“While I know myself as a creation of God, I am also obligated to realize and remember that everyone else and everything else are also God’s creation. This is particularly difficult for me when my mind falls upon the cruel person, the batterer, and the bigot. I would like to think that the mean-spirited were created by another force and under the aegis and direction of something other than my God. But since I believe that God created all things, I am not only constrained to know that the oppressor is a child of God, but also obliged to try to treat him or her as a child of God.”
–Maya Angelou
Today I will strive to see as God sees. . . ; to envision what God might vision; to love as God loves. . .

THose toes are hard to look at without getting a gagging feeling in my throat! LOL! The message thats behind it is beautiful and true to me.
Thank-you for writing this. It is so important to see through the eyes of God, which is to see from our authentic self. It can be difficult at first however that is because of the limits we have adopted. Love your “eye of God.”
The 1st thing that entered my mind when I saw the picture, was compassion. I saw beyond the appearances and recognized someone who has experienced difficulties in walking. Maybe from being bedridden? Maybe from not being able to buy shoes that fit?
What I have found is if we desire to see things through the eyes of God, then we must look beyond appearances…basically close our physical eyes and open up our inner one.
I bet ever single one of us Mothers do it all the time. We do it when we change a dirty diaper. We do it when we soothe a loved one after vomiting. Most of the time we express how very lovely we are, by stepping up to the plate and courageously facing, what we instinctually would like to run away from.
Kepp on writing CordieB! Incredible words!
I’m glad to see you back, Happy Friday! Thanks for the happy comment!
