I saw beyond the appearances and recognized someone who has experienced difficulties in walking. Maybe from being bedridden? Maybe from not being able to buy shoes that fit? What I have found is if we desire to see things through the eyes of God, then we must look beyond appearances...basically close our physical eyes and open up our inner one. I bet ever single one of us Mothers do it all the time. We do it when we change a dirty diaper. We do it when we soothe a loved one after vomiting. Most of the time we express how very lovely we are, by stepping up to the plate and courageously facing, what we instinctually would like to run away from.
