Current Mood:
Mischievous
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven’s door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp–
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, ‘What’s the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How’d all these sinners get up here?
God must’ve made a mistake.
‘And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber – give me a clue.’
‘Hush, child,’ He said, ‘they’re all in shock.
No one thought they’d be seeing you.’
JUDGE NOT!!

Hey Cordie
I wanted to check in to let you know YOU ARE LOVED. We got to be thankful and thoughtful in these tough times. I appreciated the poem because it reminds us that are judgment is always misplaced. We are emanations of the universal love machine and need to behave as such. The sooner we realize that undeniable truth the better we all will be.
Peace, love, happiness
Peeps. Thanks for checking in. The universe must have given you a clue, because I was feeling mighty down when I received this message from you. It lifted my spirit, and for that I am most thankful and I feel most loved. YOU ARE LOVED TOO, brother. Thanks for the beautiful and wise reminders! And thanks most of all for the LOVE.!
Love, C.
Outstanding! So true!
Thanks, Mark!
This was quite wonderful. Yes, only sinners will be welcome. The part that I have to be careful with is self-judgement.
CC, thanks for visiting Mirrored reflections. I’ve visited your place and will leave a comment – such a brave soul you are! ((hugs)). In the meantime, I want to share a poem with you I wrote some time ago. I hope it gives you a since of peace. Remember to hug yourself often, and love yourself always.
Peace, Light and Love to you dear child….

Hi Cordie,
Sorry that it has taken me so long to reply, but I was sick for about a month as it was complicated by my impaired immune system. Anyway, that is another story. Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. Thank you for sharing your poem…it was quite powerful and really touched me as some of it really resonated with me.
That is great! Love it! Funny and profound, not always easy to wed.
