Upon her breast lie my hopes, dreams and plans
Loosely holding my destiny in slippery hands
Each morning I look forward to her creeping on in
And with her arrival, new beginnings begin
Immeasurable surprises and presents she bares…
Dreams of happiness, heartaches– a myriad of cares
I can never quite guess the present she’ll bring
I can never quite name the exact tune she will sing
We have Infinite possibilities and boundless potential
Yet our fate is neither promised nor inconsequential
I anticipate her advent with both joys and sorrow
Just beyond the horizon; she is Tomorrow

Quote for the Day.
"Be mindful of how you approach time. Watching the clock is not the same as watching the sun rise." ~Sophia Bedford-Pierce

To choose to live in the moment implies you have no reason for hope, no focus on future plans, as you experience everything now. This also means you have no experience of fear as it can only live in the illusions of past and future. Imagine the implications in your life as you allow visions of past and future to dissolve and fall away.
Yes, Liara, I can imagine it. Tis an unlearning process that I believe holds more than most of us are ready to grasp at this time. It requres letting go not only hopes, dreams, fears, but all other attacments which may pass through our lives too. I think there is much more to it than we now know. Imagine being in all these places at one time. Now that would be spectacular!

Hi Crdie-
As I live today I do wonder, ever so quietly about tomorrow. And I am okay with that. Some days what could happen tomorrow paralyzes me in today and some days it is the hope of tomorrow that lights my way through today. Amen
Love to you
Gail
peace…..
Gail. Tis a wonderful life, is it not!
Blessings, Sis!

It’s the optimism for what tomorrow may bring that keeps us motivated to continue on. I appreciate the sense of expectation and hopeful optimism your words imbue.
Colleen, thanks for your delightful comment. Let us never become hopeless, for with hope comes inspiration!

ooooh… that ever elusive “tomorrow”. We can either dread it or look forward to it.. but, it always comes! Then again… we really can’t even count on that, can we? =)
I like this, cordie… Nice read! Thanks.
SamIamNot. Thanks for your wonderful comment. How we perceive our tomorrows is up to us. Usually, how we perceive life is reflected on how we perceive our tomorrows to be.

Cordie,
This poem came at the right time. I catching myself when I drift off into the past or when I’m trying to vision the future, I am learning to keep myself in the NOW . By doing this life is joyful and I can breath easier.
thank you for sharing
High Nika. I received this from a commenter recently, and I thought I’d share it with you. As I think living in the Now has been puffed up a bit in recent years. . . it’s really an inpossible feat to continually do, no matter what the experts may say. It’s a good thought though. Here is the comment,
“Yesterday and tomorrow enjoy a special status that the present is inelgible to receive. In the present moment, the here and now, combining “now” and “here” makes “nowhere”, as in “there’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be” (From the the lyrics to the Beatles’ song “all you need is love”

Remember King Soloman’s wise words? There is nothing new under the sun. Perhaps we should open our minds up to live in the always.
Hell, I don’t know. LoL.
Have a wonderful Sunday morning, Creative Beautiful Woman!

We have Infinite possibilities and boundless potential

Captures the essence of the curious and mysterious relationship between free will and predestination. Some believe that everything in reality is at once: past present and future. Which ties in neatly with modern quantum physics and the theory of relativity. In fact, there are numerous connections between quantum physics and Buddhist philosophy, eg the concept of “quantum entanglement” as an equivalent to the concept that everything is one.
There’s the weak “riddle” that goes like this:
Q: What did the Buddhist say to the hotdog vendor?
A: Make me one with everything.
masterymistery at cosmic rapture
@Mastermistery. LoL. Yes, Masterymistery, I beleave our perception of time and space is distorted. As observers we see as we have been programmed to see, and it would take lots of unlearning to change these perceptions. The light we receive from the sun, takes thousands of years to actually reach the earth, but most of aren’t aware of this although we know the speed of light. We don’t think in this manner; we have allowed our perception to put us under an illusion. The wise King Soloman once said, there is nothing new under the Sun. In his destressed state, perhaps he was able to tap into something in his lifetime on earth that most of don’t. I’ll check out the link. Thanks for the super contribution!
