Reflections of the Dawn

9. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10. but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.
We really know so little and have so much to learn. We will never know all about this life until we pass beyond this life. Each day, if we keep our minds and hearts open, we will learn something more, life will become clearer, we will become wiser. But, like that teenager, we must open our heart and minds to learn, we can’t think we already know it all. Also, as we grow older, we can’t hold on to that old philosophy, ”you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” We can’t continually hold on to old ways; we have to open our hearts, minds and spirits to the new. We have be refreshed. We have to keep an open mind. If someone didn’t keep an open mind, perhaps the world would still be flat. We can’t think we already know it all. We have to be open to all possibilities. Honestly, we don’t know the true outcome of any particular event, until the event is in the present tense.
So, stop stressing on the past; we can’t go back, we can simply learn from those experiences. Stop stressing on the future as we now imagine it will be. We can’t even imagine all that is in store for us – we might prophesize, but we are only looking through tinted glasses. One day it will all be crystal clear! So, for now, let’s just enjoy the wondrous gifts that God has given us. This is a day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Peace, Light and Love . . .

There IS so much to be joyful about, CordieB! Wonderful post. It reminds me of an expression from Abraham-Hicks: ” We’ll never get it ‘right’ and we’ll never get it ‘done’, so be easy with it (this Life). Have fun with it!”
*chuckling* It reminds me of the story of when I was 21. I was amazed how much my parents had learned over the past few years.
The more we Know, the more we understand how much more there is. It’s one of those never ending and ever expanding stories so there’s no rush. Enjoy the journey.
Many of us rush in with the goal the top of the mountain. And are ever so much surprised to find out the reward at the top, is to go back down that mountain and help everyone else up. The “prize” is not to leave Humanity but to stay with it.
Sue Anne, thanks so much for your most insightful, as always, contribution. “The “prize” is not to leave Humanity but to stay with it.” Amen!
PLL, C.
this is beautifully expressed Cordie… yes, to be open… to realize there is no arrival… nowhere to get to… only this moment, here, now… to open and understand that no matter how high a peak we think we are standing on in our understanding that we can always look over our shoulder and discover there is an even higher mountain of understanding than where we are… desiring always the higher perspective for both ourselves and for others and in so doing extending compassion to everyone…
thank you for your thoughtful comments for me… thank you for taking so much time to reflect and to share yourself with me… it is wonderful to meet you…
So true, Joanne. Think how boring life would be if we really did know it all.
It is wonderful to meet you as well. I simply love your insight and creativity. Keep creating!
