There are vast possibilities on the horizon; It’s up to us to manifest those possibilities into realities!
The Woman and Her Mansions ~CordieB.
She lived in a house of…
Many Mansions
Countless Doors
Infinite Windows and
Endless Floors
~~~
Yet she confined herself to…
One small house
One small room
Her comfort zone…
Filled with unfulfilling gloom
~~~
Many windows of…
Opportunity came her way
Opened doors –
Yet here she stayed…
Afraid to leave
Her cramped comfort zone
Yet inside, she’d often
bitch moan and groan
~~~
Over time she…
Over-decorated her little room
With too much brick-a-brat
Familiar clutter…
A little of this, A lot of that
Obstructing her windows
Covering her floors…
Obscuring her vision
Blocking her doors…
Taking her breath!!
Out of control!!
Killing her softly…
Draining her soul…
~~~
Until one day she was brave enough to…
Release the shutters!
Open the doors!
Roll out the carpet!
Explore other floors!
Bask in the sunshine!
Laugh in the rain!
Experience the world
Through both joy and pain!
~~~
She began exploring her many mansions and…
Seek new adventures!
Become experimental!
Redecorating her once limited mind…
With knowledge and boundless potential!
In my Father’s house are many mansions ~ The Bible, John 14:2
Cordie,
This is so beautiful. You are love!
HI CORDIEB
You and Mark are so similar in your writings on rooms in mansions. I understand. And like I said on Marks post,……I am safe here, in these four walls, especially as I heal form the MS setback. I have lived in many rooms in my life -taken many risks, traveled far. And although I am of limited mobility I step out and away as best I can………my mind, and wisdom gained is filled with rooms of information and experience and I know I still have more ‘rooms’ to explore.
Love to you
Gail
peace and hope…..
High Gail! I’ve always known you have home of abundant love. There is a difference limiting one’s self due to fear than it is feeling safe and secure and loved. I would not trade the love you and your family share for all the tea in china! I hope you are doing well and I’m keeping you in my prayers. I’ll be over to see you today!
Peace, Light and Love, C.
Everyone is indeed in the process of remembering their boundless potenial.
wonderful. perspective is everything. thanks for this one.
Hi Cordie,
I second what Mark said. This reminds me of my neighbor. She never opens her windows, curtains, etc. I wonder if she feels empty?
I love the multi-layers of this poem. We each should enjoy the many mansions in our soul.
Cordie,
What can I say? You illuminate.
Hope you are well.
