I have been rather quiet here lately – I’ve been in the listening mode rather than the talking mode. Sometimes too much chatter jumbles the mind, so I’ve been sitting back taking in, absorbing for the moment. However, know that my thoughts remain with each of you loyal readers and those who happen to pass by this space every now and then.

Below is a repost of a riddle I wrote some time ago… perhaps you can solve it before you get to the end. And always remember, the stars look up tos you babe!

I’ve guided multitudes of earthly beings through many dark nights

I’ve been a beacon of hope for many a man lost in his flight

Although I’m quite illuminous, I have absolutely no light energy alone . . .

I’m blessed by the light of my brethren to co-create life from cold stone

As long as my universal family shines, then I shall shine too . . .

And I, in-turn, humbly reflect that ambiance of light unto you.

So I can aide you in finding your way from the lost journey afar

And thus, you might illuminate another who may not know whom or where they are.

Like many, I sometimes have dreary days and nights when I feel so alone,

When I’m blocked from my light source by dark storm clouds of energy unknown.

I realise it’s all an illusion, for my light soure remains true, bright and clear

But when you’re lost in dark pastures, tis hard to let go the false fear.

So in today’s midnight, I remind you even a blind man can see the light bright,

For they are not blinded by false perceptions of absense of love’s light.

You see, the blind sees beauty in realness . . . and truth without lies . . .

They don’t look for false answers in the suns, moons or skies . . .

They feel warmth in kindness, compassion and love . . .

In darkness, they are guided by inner awareness, not from detachments thereof;

They love, hate or feel indifference to us for ourselves in the mist of life’s rugged race . . .

They most brilliantly see the love in our hearts–in spite of our physical face!

Visionless, they see the hatred in our hearts, in spite of physical beauty

Like a blind child or man, we should all stress to make it our duty . . .

To look into the true hearts of children, women, and men . . .

See all people as they really are, not pre-judge by their hair, face or skin.

But you needn’t close your eyes to see the light . . .

You can have 20/20 vision and still use your insight . . .

If you’ve accepted and embraced the blessing of inner vision and true clarity

Then you understand, I once was lost but now I’m found; was blind but now I see.

But alas, I will guide you in your journey, it won’t be too late or too soon . . .

I have been blessed through out the years

by kin and strangers alike who have caught my tears

Who have gave me strength; eased my fears. . .

Into their basin of unconditional love supreme . . .

and turned those tears so magically

into a blessing; making sad eyes gleam

who have turned nightmares into dreams . . .

All webs in life are weaved together

we all are one; from begining until forever

though we may be close or lightyears apart

our actions send endless waves rippling to all hearts

So often we may not realize

What we do and say travel endless miles

When we feed the hungry; or simply give a smile . .

However we relate to our fellow man

is chain reacted across the land and back again

Thus far I’ve been blessed beyond compare

From the whole of humanity, timeless; everywhere

And so I feel compelled to pass on a blessing

to aide humanity in not regressing

into the darkness of separation and instinct

because were’re all connected by a common link

So though you may be close or very far,

your light warms humanity like a distant star

Without you there would be no me

Thus, I’m grateful for your being, eternally

For the love you share, I say UBUNTU

I am what I am because of all of you!

Have a Coke on Me

I Provide the Land, the Water the Air;
Yet my survival might be hanging on the wings of a hope and a prayer;
I do hope you humans will become aware
of my vital importance and begin to care.
I do pray that my inhabitants will learn to share,
My limited resources before I’m left bare.

My purpose is to provide a habitat– a home for life;
Like the husband feels a need to provide for the wife,
I too feel so purposeless when I can no longer provide,
The trees, the fields, the air, the rain, the incoming tide.
The flowers, the soil, the coal, the oil, the oceans so wide.

My gifts that were once so rich and abundant
Are dwindling down due to greed, sloth and redundance.
The atmosphere that once kept me at balance for you,
Is diminishing so quickly–no chance to renew.
I’m saddened my inhabitants may no longer see blue,
When they look to the skies . . .
for the answer that lies. . .
Beyond the horizon, yet right in their eyes.

So share with your brethren whenever you can;
Have love for your neighbors, the animals, the land.
Those God given gifts are all yours to use,
For whatever you want and whatever you choose.

But if you desire for your children’s children to feel the warmth of the sun,
Roll in the green grass . . . Laugh, skip and run;
Hear the woodpecker peck. . .Feel the first morning dew;
The choice is all yours, it’s all up to you.
If you want the next generation to swim with the fish . . .
See the beauty of nature.
On a star make a wish . . .
See the birds, and the bumblebees, and the butterflies fly . . .
Touch the cold winter snow; Feel the heat of July
Take care of my bounty, or else I might die.

I am Earth!

Let us all join in on Earth Hour this year!

Although one often starts arguments, whilst another maturingly puts them out.

And the lightest sometimes blows her temper, but quickly quiets down

When mother speaks her peace; gathering everyone around…

We can quinch your thirst completely; then take your breath away!
Stability we promise; whilst burning energies counterplay;

We usually work together–an intricate balanced act….

Though at times our ego over feeds us; causing us not to interact;

Although you may often prefer one or two of us to another

If one were not created; the world you know would be a blunder

We yin and yang superbly; a beautiful well balanced family…

Our harmony is so transparent that you may fail to see . . .

Our fluid inner beauty; our solid grounded love…

Sometimes, flighty dispostion – bringing heat to all thereof

You exhale one of us each second; into you she gently flows…

One’s 65 percent your makeup; although you may not know. . .

One brings purity to impurities with the warmth of her touch;

Another provides homage to most of what you see; and everything you touch!

Dare not to underestimate us; we’re most powerful and vain!

If we suspect you’re disrespecting us; we’ll cause you plenty pain!

If you look into our eyes, we’ll most surely hypnotize–

Most find us quite alluring; many are simply mesmerized!

We are needed for survival; without us, perhaps there would be no birth

We are the four Essential Elements: Water, Fire, Air and Earth

Imagine if You Will . . .

If all little girls were loved by their mothers . . .

If all little boys were loved by their dads . . .

Perhaps the world would be a better place, perhaps?

Is this not how the Bible teaches us that God loves us,

Yet .  . .the world is not a better place.

Why? 

Because for love to be effective in making our world better, there must be a relationship.

A relationship involves relating–communicating, and sharing of ourselves others.

Love from afar without any form of relationship bonding

is about as ineffective in making the world a better place as hatred.

Are not we all made of God? . . . Is God not inherit in each of us?

In order that we build a loving relationship with God, we must build relationships with ourselves and other human beings.

We must build  loving relationships with inhabitants of the Earth. 

Not to a far away supreme being in the sky.

God is Real

The sweetest honey to the brightest flower
The largest planet to the smallest atom
Snowflakes and the bird kingdom
Smaller thatn the eye can see bigger then the mind can conceive

Heard a man on the radio today
(spoken)i mean I’m not going to believe in anything that I can’t see and i’ve
Been through a lot of hardships in my life ya know ya know in my life
Must confess I disagreed with what he had to say
How he could he not believe that God is real
I don’t understand how
He could feel that way

When there’s earth, air, water, and fire
So many different flowers
Sunshine and rain showers
So many different crystals
And hills and volcanoes

That’s how I know that God is real
All of this is not by chance
That’s how I know that God is real

In st. lucia I jumped in the water
(spoken)it was like I was seeing it for the first time. it literally changed
My life.
For the first time I understood it’s power
As I swam I was cleansed
If I had any doubts
This experience cleared them
Now I know for sure that God is real
I know that it’s the truth
By the way it feels

Cause I saw starfish and sponges
Fish shaped like trumpets
So many different colors
I stayed out there for hours and I only saw a fraction of a fraction of the
Deepest of the deep of the great blue wide
It brought a tear to my eye

I am Earth!

Hey, I just signed up to the new Earth Hour website for 2008 and I thought you might like to take a look and possibly sign up too. Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm, and it looks like it’s going to be really big. So far, as well as Sydney, there’ll also be Chicago, Tel Aviv, Manila, Copenhagen, Melbourne, Brisbane and Toronto all turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming.
