~Love Tames. CordieB.
I am kind and patient; not boastful or proud…
I am all knowing, yet humble; not boisterous or loud
I am secure in my stead; not untrusting or jealous
I keep no scores of bad deeds; I’m forgiving….unrebellious
I am thankful for mine; of your’s I’m not envious
I don’t hold resentment to ferment my soul…
In-line with my spirit, it is compassion I hold!
I’m not judgmental; I allow others to be…
That which they are; so their souls might be free
Knowing we all are created from the same mighty force
Good, bad or indifferent; of the same Holy source!
I rejoice in the truth; refrain from deception…
Persevere with great hope, amid pain or rejection.
Not easily angered, remaining kind and protective…
Willing to look closely at life from another’s perspective.
I am the foundation of all Creation thereof…
I’m the most powerful, unfailing, Spirit of all
…I Am the Spirit of Love…
~Written by CordieB, Inspired by 1st Corinthian’s 13 and of course….. Love.
Quote for the Day: When I was a child, I talked like a child; I thought like a child; I reasoned like a child. As I grew, I put childish ways behind me. Then I saw but a poor reflection, as in a mirror. Now I see face to face. Then, I knew only in part. Now I know fully and I am fully known.
And now these three remain…
Faith
Hope
Love
But the greatest of these is…
LOVE
~1 Corinthians 13, The Bible
Another Quote: Knowing is realizing we don’t know it all ~CordieB.

He was sinfully proud of her beauty
Her complexion and velvety touch brought him immense joy
On occasions he’d simply watch her with passion;
Delicately caressing her softness…
To keep her closer, he removed her from her essense.
Inevitiably, she withered away.
Thus, he lost not only his pride; but also his joy;
the Rose.

Quote for the Day: If you allow pride to cause you to cut your rose from its root, you’re bound to lose not only your pride, but more sadly your joy. ~CordieB.

supernatural bridge (red shoes) ~Rick Mobs
Rick Mobs at Mine Enemy Grows Older, who I discovered through Paisley (thanks Jodie), has invited his readers/viewers to give words to his beautiful art. The above titled art needs no words; as it is a supernatural story in and of itself; but, since Rick has so graciously allowed us to put words to his stunning creation - here is my rendition. . . in another spiritual riddle . . .
I’ve tricked you since the days of old
Enticed by me, you’d lease your soul
If I could trade eternity . . .
You’d sell, not rent that soul to me.
I’m the most illusioned of all evil spirits
My existence holds but one egotistical merit
I bring forth false vision to the being
who can not bring himself to seeing
the wondrous beauty of the soul within
that shines like gold when love seeps in
that lasts through style and passing trends . . .
I’m the most deathly of all deadly sins!
If I could erase your lines of wear and tear
you’d trade your soul without a care
If I could make all bow to you
there’d be no limits to what you’d do
because you don’t see the beauty in creation
of what God blessed you with in relation
to all God’s creation, magenta, black, or white
I’ve tricked your vision; jaded your sight
by grace but for only a twinkle in time on earth
for God forbids his art to loose full worth . . .
in the vastness of creation’s grand eternity
Who am I?

Sixth deadly sin: Envy
According to the dictionary: s.f., from the Latin Invidia. Mixture of pain and anger; feeling of displeasure about the prosperity and happiness of someone else; desire to have what others have.
For the Catholic Church: Against the Tenth Commandment (You shall not covet thy neighbor’s house). It appears for the first time in Genesis, in the story of Cain and his brother Abel.
In a Jewish parable: A disciple asks the rabbis about the passage in Genesis: “The Lord was pleased about Abel and his offer, whereas he was not pleased about Cain and his offer. Cain was exceedingly angry and his face fell. Then the Lord said to him: Why are you angry and why did your face fall?”
The rabbis answered:
“God should have asked Cain: Why are you angry? Was it because I did not accept your offering, or because I accepted the offering of your brother?”
Envy and ethics: For the scientist and researcher Dr. William M. Shelton, envy is a reaction provoked by losers, who seek to evade reality by hiding behind a crusade seeking to reinstate “moral values”, “noble ideas”, and “social justice”. The situation becomes dangerous when the school system begins to develop in the student the conditioning for despising all those who manage to be successful, always attributing any success to corruption, manipulation and moral degradation. As the pursuit of success is something inherent to the human condition, the students end up in a schizophrenic process of hating exactly that which would lead them to happiness, thereby increasing the anxiety crises, and reducing the capacity to innovate and improve society.
